It is a personal and deeply felt aspect of a person's identity, and should be respected and affirmed regardless of societal expectations or stereotypes. Sexism arises from the unequal treatment or discrimination based on gender, not from the concept of gender identity itself. It is important to recognize and validate the diversity of gender identities and to challenge the societal norms and expectations that perpetuate sexism. **
